Economic Development Coordinator, Brian McGlone, in conjunction with the Economic Development Commission and the Town of Guilford, hosted a Breakfast Forum on Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Over 65 people from our community, including realtors, developers, bankers, and many assorted business owners participated.

The keynote address was made by Commissioner Catherine Smith of the Connecticut State Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD). Her presentation focused on programs developed by Governor Malloy, all geared towards assisting businesses and job creation.
The second half of the forum focused more on specific Guilford issues. An overview of the types of Market segments driving Guilford’s Economic Development was discussed.  A “snapshot” of Available Properties ready for development once the economy improves and tenants can be established was also presented.  Audience Q & A was addressed by:
